02Commercial training

The TAA countslike the Arrow.

The commercial certificate needs 10 hours of training in a complex airplane, a technically advanced airplane (TAA), or both. A TAA has an electronic flight display, a GPS moving map and a two-axis autopilot tied to them. N1041Q is ours.

Your Commercial estimate prices those hours in the Piper Arrow. Flying them in N1041Q costs less. The complex endorsement still takes the Piper Arrow.

03Inspections

Inspected every100 hours.

The FAA requires an annual inspection on every airplane, and a 100-hour inspection on any airplane a school provides for flight instruction. Both apply to every airplane on this page.

14 CFR 91.409(opens in a new tab)
  • Annual

A full inspection every 12 calendar months, signed off by an authorized inspector.

  • 100-hour

The same inspection again every 100 hours of flying, between annuals.

  • Preflight

Before every flight, you and your instructor walk around the airplane and check it.

Why we do not own them

We fly partner airplanes based on Falcon Field and book and bill them for you, so there is no club membership to buy. You pay one rate card for the airplane, the fuel and your instructor.
